Our regular scheduling begins the first week in June 2026 and continues through mid October. If you are interested in joining any of our teams please contact us. We will add you to the team list and share relevant details and updates at the beginning of each week. You do not need to come every time or for the whole time if you wish to participate.
Pollinator Patrol Team
Mondays and Thursdays 7-9am
This team plants, weeds and waters all the perennial pollinator beds along the Heritage Pollinator Path through town.
Veggie Garden Team
Tuesdays 9-11am
Fridays 9-11am
This team plants, weeds, waters, harvests and delivers veggies from our main garden on Academy St. behind St. Mary’s Church.
Town of Lee Service Days
Last Saturday of the month from 10am - 12pm. Volunteers are organized by the Lee Greener Gateway Committee to help with various projects around town - cleaning up trash, dealing with invasive plants in public parks, and and helping with weeding at Lee Community Gardens' many gardens through town.
Remember to email to let us know you are interested in participating so we can loop you in and keep you informed on how to be a part of feeding people and pollinators. If none of these days and times work for you, but you would still like to participate, we have lots of other ways for you to contribute. Please contact us and we can figure out what works for you!
Tuesday Afternoon Harvesting
Between 4-5:00pm we harvest veggies and get them ready for delivery to Crossways Village. From 5-6pm we tend the garden and greet people coming to pick up from the veggie shed.
Friday Morning Harvesting
From 10-11:30am we harvest veggies for delivery to Hyde Place on Main St. We usually stay in the garden until 12:30pm to weed, water, prune etc.
Watering
Now we are entering the fall and the weeks ahead may be dry. The plants in the verges, especially the newly planted ones, and the ones in the drier verges, need to be watered weekly.
